DIY: Woven Scarf Knot

My sister came home from college with a cute new way to wear scarves!

I have to give her credit for showing me how to tie it (thanks Meg!), but you don't have to tell your friends where you got it from.  It's our little secret ;)  This knot is great because it lies flat, and doesn't get in your way.  It's really easy too!

Step 1: Fold your scarf in half, and place around your neck so that the loop is on one side, and the ends are on the other.

Step 2: Pull one of the scarf ends through the loop.

Step 3: Stick your hand in the loop, and twist 180º to form a new, smaller loop (you are kind of turning the looped end of your scarf into a figure 8 or infinity sign).

Step 4:  Pull the unused scarf end through the small loop.

You may need to adjust and tighten the knot a little to make it look nice and neat.  Just remember when you go to remove the scarf that you tied it in the new knot!  I hope this new look keeps you warm during the winter months (it was 10ºF last night... not okay!).  Special thanks for my sister for showing me how to do this.  Simple, elegant, and it'll look great with summer scarves too!
