Couch to 5k has you alternate between running and walking for about 30 minutes, 3 times a week. They gradually increase the running increments to build you up to running a 5k. There are even blogs where you can download podcasts of music with verbal cues that tell you when to run and walk!

Today was 87º and sunny. And my neck and arms are completely sunburnt from yesterday's rugby match. But I forced myself to go out and run/walk. 1 day down, 8 weeks and 6 days to go!
